About Swanage and the festival

Swanage Fish Festival is about celebrating all things ‘fishy’ with a festival that features food, fishing and fun while spotlighting Purbeck businesses and skills in the idyllic setting of Prince Albert Gardens overlooking one of the country’s most beautiful bays. There will be fish, cockles, mussels, scallops, oysters and Champagne! Plus, entertainment for the whole family.

Following the success of previous years, organisers are planning a bigger and better event for 2017.  Come and explore all the festival has to offer on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June and visit an array of stalls serving up sumptuous food, drinks and fishy crafts. Top chefs will also be on hand to advise on how to create the perfect fish dish. On Saturday evening, enjoy a wonderful live music line-up with a drink in hand overlooking Swanage bay at sunset.

A full list of events will be available in the official Swanage Fish Festival brochure and on our website closer to the time.

The 2017 festival will be make donations to Swanage Lifeboat, The Fishermen’s Mission and National Coast Watch Swanage.

We would like to extend our support to more Purbeck charities this year, so if you would like to be considered for a share of this year’s profits please email emma@fishfestival.uk with a brief description of your charity.
